Xiaomi Redmi 4, Mi Note 2 release date, specs news: Price and launch details leaked
The highly-anticipated Xiaomi Redmi 4 will be released Aug. 25 while its big brother Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will arrive on Sept. 2, according to a new leak that came out of the Chinese social media site Weibo.
The tipster also claimed that the Redmi 4 will come with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB storage. It will reportedly be priced at CNY 699, which translates to around US $105 (€94).
The successor of the Xiaomi Redmi 3 also expected to sport a 5-inch full HD (high-definition) display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor.
More exciting bits about the Xiaomi Redmi 4 is its purported metal body, its humongous 4100 mAh battery with fast charging support and its fingerprint scanner, which makes the mid-range device quite a steal.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will reportedly come in two versions, as per the same tipster. One will offer 64 GB of storage with 4 GB RAM and the other will allegedly come with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage.
The next-generation Mi Note will definitely show improvements in performance with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor jumping from an 801 processor on the original.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is also expected to come in a 5.7-inch display although it is unclear if it will be AMOLED display or an LCD panel with full HD resolution. A 3600-mAh battery will keep the lights on.
On the design department, users can expect a metal unibody for a premium device such as Xiaomi Mi Note 2. As for the pricing, the 64 GB version will reportedly be at CNY 2,499 or $375 (€337) while the 128 model is at CNY 2,799 or $420 (€378).
Xiaomi itself has not confirmed when the Redmi 4 and the Mi Note 2 will be released, but with the leaks springing from here and there, the pair of devices might be out soon.
