Xbox One Backwards Compatibility news and updates: 'Burnout Paradise,' 'Rayman Legends,' and 'Pure' added to list
Lately, three Xbox 360 games were added with backwards compatibility support. The Xbox 360 titles "Burnout Paradise," "Rayman Legends," and "Pure" are about to be playable on the Xbox One.
The recent addition of the aforementioned titles to the backwards compatibility catalog was announced by Microsoft's Major Nelson on Twitter. On Nov. 23, he tweeted, "Burnout Paradise, Rayman Legends and Pure are coming to Xbox One Backward Compatibility today."
"Burnout Paradise" was launched in Jan. 22, 2008. It is the fifth installment in the "Burnout" racing series developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts. The addition of "Burnout Paradise" to the list doesn't come as a surprise to gamers, since the title has recently been added to the Games with Gold titles for December 2016.
"Rayman Legends" was developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and published by Ubisoft. The fifth main title in the series was launched in Aug. 29, 2013.
The off-road, quad-bike trick racing video game titled "Pure" was developed by Black Rock Studio and was published by Disney Interactive Studios. The game was launched way back in Sept. 16, 2008. Gamers who want to get their hands on "Pure" must purchase the Xbox 360 game disc. The digital version of the title is not available.
For the uninitiated, Xbox One Backward Compatibility allows gamers to experience Xbox 360 titles on the Xbox One. So far, not all titles from the older console have this feature. Currently, there are over 280 titles with Xbox One Backward Compatibility support. Though gamers are expecting "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" and "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" to be added to the list, Microsoft has not yet confirmed the inclusion of the titles.
Watch out for more updates on the Xbox One Backward Compatibility list.
