WWE SmackDown 2014 Results, News: Biggest Surprise Not From the Wrestling
Wrestling fans are eager to know what happened at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England, during the WWE Smackdown last Monday, Nov. 10.
The event brought with it an unusual surprise, although this was not directly of the wrestling variety. The surprise had to do more with an unexpected business move.
But before that, here are the WWE Smackdown results first.
Kicking off the show was the Highlight Reel of Chris Jericho with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. The Survivor Series main event was given attention and discussed.
Sin Cara was no match against Bray Wyatt. After his victory, Wyatt proceeded to do a promo, but he was cut short by Dean Ambrose. Fortunately for Wyatt, he was able to evade Ambrose before anything could happen.
The tandem of Adam Rose and the Bunny was also no match for the pair of the glittery-named Goldust and Stardust.
Meanwhile, in a Three-Way Elimination match, Intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler won over Cesaro and Tyson Kidd. This resulted in Ziggler's title retention. Cesaro got eliminated by Kidd, then Ziggler gave Kidd a dose of his own medicine and eliminated him.
Layla tasted defeat at the hands of Natalya.
Kane the Corporate Demon used a steel chair. This resulted in Kane being disqualified during his match against Ryback.
The WWE Smackdown results went practically according to what most had projected would happen.
However, what many didn't expect was how WWE allowed the match between Ryback and Kane to be broadcast over free TV. The match could have gone on as a singles match for airing over TLC. But no, it was aired for free, and that was a surprising move, considering how business interests got affected.
