WWE Rumors 2016: UFC's Conor McGregor fires at John Cena
After already trading barbs a few days ago, it seems Conor McGregor and the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) universe are still far from ending their current rivalry.
Recently, MMA Fighting reported that the UFC superstar has replied after a number of WWE superstars reacted to his initial comment about the company and its stars.
McGregor called the stars different terms, which prompted current fighters like Roman Reigns to reach to McGregor.
Wrestling legend Ric Flair also chimed in on the issue, telling McGregor that his gimmick was stolen from Flair during his legendary run in the professional wrestling business.
Upon hearing this, McGregor replied: "I don't know what to say to Ric Flair. This ain't no gimmick. This is the real [explicit]. I gotta get in and fight a man for real with no script, with no nothing. So he was talking about bringing some of the wrestler guys over to challenge me, come bring it then. This is the real [explicit] over here. If you want to come over we can fight no problem."
Even adding fire to the flame, McGregor turned his attention to John Cena, arguably the biggest draw the company has at the moment.
Speaking of Cena, McGregor held nothing back, saying: "The main guy, John Cena, he's 40 years of age and he's running around in a luminous orange t-shirt and a head band, talking about nobody can see him. We can see him right there. He's a big fat, 40-year-old failed Mr. Olympia [explicit]."
Many are claiming that McGregor may be doing this to stir even more noise in preparation for his fight against Nate Diaz in the UFC.
However, he is ruffling a lot of feathers in a completely different industry despite also admitting that he was once a fan of the WWE and professional wrestling.
It appears that another set of replies from WWE superstars are in order so stay tuned a few days from now.
