Fans are waiting for George R.R. Martin's Book 6 of "Winds of Winter: A Song of Ice and Fire," but they have yet to receive any spoilers from the author himself.

As such, the fans themselves have created their own predictions on the storyline of the novel.

They believe that Book 6 will focus on Davos Seaworth. In Martin's past books, Davos has escaped death multiple times. He even had a close call in "A Dance With Dragons." According to the book, Lord Wyman Manderly promised to acknowledge Stannis as his king only if Davos can save one of Ned's sons.

Davos will need to travel to the Island of Skagos, said to be inhabited by cannibals, where one of Ned Stark's son is to be found. Fans from the Westeros Forum believe that Davos can bring Rickon Stark back.

"My thinking is Davos and Rickon will have built a very strong relationship by the time they get back to Manderly or wherever Davos chooses to go. (It's) a relationship very much like a father and son. Davos lost sons of his own and we all know what happened to Rickon's dad so it would be perfectly natural that after a period of time and once trust has been built Davos would become very protective of young Rickon," said Commoner, a Westeros user.

However, another fan said that even though Davos has a good heart in nature, it is still not sure if Rickon can trust him. "Davos is going to Skagos with the hopes of rallying the North for Stannis after all," wrote Sellsword.

Will Davos keep his loyalty to Stannis, or will his fatherly nature overpower his goal?

Fans are desperate to know when the new Winds of Winter book will be released, but it has been made clear until now that George R.R. Martin will not be rushed into completing the novel. He knows how important it is to get the plot and the storytelling just right, and just like all previous installments, the wait will no doubt be worth it once the book is released.

Most predictions still estimate that the new book will be released sometime in 2015, but as for exactly when, that will depend on how much progress George R.R. Martin can make in the coming few months.
