Author George R.R. Martin has revealed that only five characters will survive "The Game of Thrones."

In a typewritten letter that Martin sent to his publisher, Harper Collins, in 1993 – a copy of which was posted but then subsequently removed on the fan site winteriscoming.net – the five characters that will survive the most-watched show on HBO were identified as Jon Snow, Arya Stark, Bran Stark, Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen.

Martin said these five were all intended to live throughout his original trilogy, giving readers the chance to see them "growing from children to adults and changing themselves and the world in the process."

But this revelation could mean nothing in the ending for the yet-to-be-released last two books of "A Song of Fire and Ice" since "Game of Thrones" showrunners have already proven their penchant for straying away from their source material.

Meanwhile, as uncertainty remains on when Martin will finish the sixth book of his best-selling "A Song of Fire and Ice" series, millions of fans are making do with new trivia about the series. Rumors are that the new book will definitely not be finished and released in 2015, meaning there is still a significant wait for fans eagerly awaiting the new novel.

They went crazy after a British bookseller posted and immediately deleted a tweet of Martin's letter, which revealed major differences between the original outline and the final version of "Game of Thrones" books.

Waterstones, a popular bookseller in the United Kingdom, tweeted a link to the three photos of a typewritten letter that Martin sent to his publisher, Harper Collins, in 1993, the Variety said.

Appearing on the fan site winteriscoming.net, the letter gave a broad outline of the original story that Martin originally had in mind, the Telegraph reported.

The three-page proposal letter, which had some parts blacked out, revealed that Martin only intended to write a trilogy, which focused on the epic love triangle between Tyrion Lannister, Arya Stark, and Jon Snow.

It was actually this whole Jon-Arya thing that bolstered the popular fan theory that Jon Snow is not really Ned Stark's son.

"Game of Thrones" fans also made a feast out of Martin's letter that revealed an original story of poor Sansa Stark having a baby with the evil King Joffrey, who was supposed to be disfigured in a battle with his wife's brother, Robb Stark.

The letter also stated how Martin made Tyrion remove King Joffrey from the iron throne and handed the crown to his brother, Jamie Lannister, before the Kingslayer double-crossed him, blaming the Imp for King Joffrey's crimes. This sent Tyrion to exile, the Hollywood Gossip said.

It also said that in the original plot of "A Song of Fire and Ice" trilogy, Daenerys Targaryen killed her husband Khal Drogo to avenge the death of her brother, Viserys.

The murder forced her to flee from the Dothraki before she stumbled upon some dragon's eggs, which eventually made her a Khaleesi.
