'Watch Dogs 2' release date, news & update: Game launches on PS4 and Xbox One on Nov. 15
Gamers won't have to wait that long for the second installment of open world action-adventure franchise "Watch Dogs." The upcoming video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal is slated for a Nov. 15 release date.
The announcement was posted on the video game's official Twitter account. The company tweeted, "Watch Dogs 2 is GOLD! #WatchDogs2."
Furthermore, the video game developers launched a new trailer to tease fans about the upcoming game. As revealed in the trailer, "Watch Dogs 2" will introduce a new character as well as a new setting. A new character named Marcus Holloway will be taking the place of the preceding title's main protagonist, Aiden Pearce. Another surprise for the gamers is that "Watch Dogs 2" will be set in San Francisco.
The new protagonist will face a new villain. PC Gamer previously reported that players will be introduced to Dušan. This character will the brains behind the Blume and ctOS 2.0, the operating system that powers San Francisco.
In terms of gameplay, players will be able to choose between co-op and player vs player. Co-op is a mode that will require players to work in teams. For those who prefer to go solo, gamers can choose the competitive mode wherein they will face other players in the game.
Reports said that Ubisoft Montreal has done so much to fix previous gameplay issues. However, there are a few more notable features that need to be improved. Driving, for instance, is a feature that needs to be developed since it's a bit boring. But overall, the game has impressed many fans.
"Watch Dogs 2" is expected to launch on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One this Nov. 15. The game will be available on PCs, particularly for Microsoft Windows users, this coming Nov. 29.
