When "Vikings" season 4 returns, fans will see much of Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) and King Ecbert (Linus Roache) as the former deals with his unfinished business with the latter.

The midseason premiere titled "The Outsider" will see Ragnar finally return to Kattegat not only to check on his sons but to also pay a visit to the ruler of Wessex.

"The storylines of Ragnar and King Ecbert coincide, finally. So two of the greatest characters in the show come together and in a most extraordinary way," show creator Michael Hirst told Variety about the second half of "Vikings" season 4.

"There are a couple of episodes in Season 4 that are the best things I've ever written and affected everybody on the show, and I can't wait for people to come to these episodes, but they're still unexpected," he continued.

Hirst added that "Vikings" season 4 will be "startling and extraordinary" so fans of the show will definitely be in for a treat in the last 10 episodes of the season.

Of course, it will not only be Ragnar and King Ecbert's dealings that fans should be excited about the final episodes of "Vikings" season 4.

Ragnar will also build up a successor of his in his sons. Ivar the Boneless (Alexander Hogh Andersen) is looking to be the one to succeed his father and like Ragnar, he will be a ruthless ruler.

Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) will prepare his voyage to Mediterranean with a boat made especially for him by Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard).

Of course, "Vikings" season 4 will go big with the return of Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), who is done with being trampled on. She will be out for revenge against Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) in the latter half of the season.

"Vikings" season 4 will be back with episode 11 titled "The Outsider" on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 9 p.m. EDT on History Channel.
