'UnReal' season 2 spoilers, plot news: War rages on between Rachel and Quinn; Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman teases huge power plays in coming episodes
What happens when you have two women with differing opinions trying to outdo each other? War happens, and that's what's in store for fans in the upcoming episode of "UnReal" season 2.
The first episode of the season seemed to give off the vibe that Rachel (Shiri Appleby) and Quinn (Constance Zimmer) were tight. Actually, they were for a while, but things started heating up between the two especially after Coleman (Michael Rady) was hired as the new producer. Chaos after chaos ensued, and it looks like the mayhem won't be changing anytime soon.
In Monday's new episode titled "Infiltration," Quinn will be seen trying to break rules that she created in the first place. She would set out to create the "craziest version of the show," according to Carter Matt. Of course, viewers could expect her to embarrass Coleman once more, probably even have him fired from the show, as she has done in the past.
Quinn may be going crazy, but she has reason to, especially after she learned that Rachel went behind her back and tried to get Gary (Christopher Cousins), the network president, to remove Quinn as showrunner of "Everlasting." However, Quinn's plans only seem to backfire on her.
Meanwhile, it looks like Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman's character, Jay, is about to get a pretty interesting arc in the coming episodes. Apparently, Jay could find himself in a position of power, but it would be a struggle for him not to let it corrupt him in the way it has seemed to corrupt Rachel and Quinn.
"I think that Jay is trying so desperately this season to hang onto his soul and hang onto his integrity and his morals that it's a constant struggle for him," Bowyer-Chapman revealed to Bustle. "But he does get to a point later on this season where he gains a certain amount of power so much so that it kind of rivals the power that Quinn and Rachel have ... Is he going to use it for good or use it for evil? It's a really slippery slope for him."
"UnReal" season 2 airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on Lifetime. Meanwhile, check out the promo clip for the July 4 episode, "Infiltration."
