The "Tomb Raider" franchise is getting another sequel. From Lara Croft's "Rise of the Tomb Raider" adventures, the heroine is going to embark on a new journey quite soon. A leak recently teased the gaming community that a video game sequel referred to as "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" is currently in the works.

The latest "Tomb Raider" rumors started from a Reddit thread. According to Kotaku, a Reddit user happened to glance upon an open laptop in a crowded subway which contained the latest information about the action-adventure video game franchise. The news outlet also stated that the game's website even posted information, advising professional developers and marketers to exercise caution when it comes to working on confidential projects in public.

The Reddit user also managed to take a snap of the MacBook laptop, which was then shared online. The user wrote, "Saw someone working on a presentation for 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider' on the subway (Possible new game?)"

IBTimes reported that the alleged title "Rise of the Tomb Raider" was recently confirmed by an insider working for the upcoming "Tomb Raider" game. A representative for the video game studio recently spoke out amid the rumors, stating, "We don't comment on rumors and speculation."

Moreover, the Reddit user reportedly worked in downtown Montreal, wherein a number of game studios are located. Hence, many are choosing to believe that the information posted on the laptop was legit.

Eurogamer also speculated that the video game developer for the upcoming sequel will no longer be Crystal Dynamics. "Deus Ex" and "Thief" developer Eidos Montreal will reportedly be spearheading the installment. Since the leak was found in Montreal, gamers are convinced that a studio near the area could be handling "Shadow of the Tomb Raider." On the other hand, the headquarters for Crystal Dynamics is far from the Montreal area as their studio is located in San Francisco.
