"Thor: Ragnarok" director Taika Waititi recently teased the upcoming addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When Waititi joined the Reddit AMA held last Saturday, he admitted that the forthcoming film will have a retro feel.

When fans of the franchise asked the director about the 1980s-themed logo, Waititi said that it was inspired from 1970s and 1980s science fiction art. The relevance of the art has to do with the overall concept of the film "because our film feels like that," Waititi admitted.

"I think 'Thor: Ragnarok' will be one of the most adventurous and most out there of all the Marvel movies. It's a crazy movie," the director added. "You can expect a Taika-esque tone. They've been very accepting of my style," Waititi said.

After months of speculations, the director finally confirmed that Mark Ruffalo's Hulk will be joining the Norse god in his adventures in the upcoming film.

Furthermore, viewers can expect many "Doctor Strange" references in the film. The director only revealed that much information about the upcoming "Doctor Strange" character which will be portrayed by "Sherlock" actor Benedict Cumberbatch. Waititi didn't really answer when many curious fans asked if Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange will be making a cameo in the "Thor" film.

He told viewers that he didn't know, and that he isn't sure. Since he is the film's director, most likely he does know but he isn't allowed to say anything regarding the rumored cameo.

On the other hand, Waititi admitted that he tried to incorporate John C. Reilly's "Guardians of the Galaxy" character into the film but it was impossible. To note, Reilly portrays the Nova Corps officer Rhomann Dey.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is expected to premiere on Nov. 3, 2017. While waiting for the film, viewers can catch "Doctor Strange" which is slated to premiere on Nov. 4.
