Taika Waititi's "Thor: Ragnarok" is still more than a year away and fans are clamoring to find out more about the third solo movie of the god of thunder. A lot of big names have already been reported to join the cast like Cate Blanchett and Jeff Goldblum, but another star has recently confirmed his role.

In an interview with The Shortlist, Neill confirms that he has a small part to play in the upcoming "Thor" movie. He says, "Oddly enough, I'm not really allowed to say this, and I can't tell you what it is... I did a couple of days on Thor, just before I came over here."

Interestingly enough, Neill starred in Waititi's earlier film, "Hunt for the Wilderpeople." Though the role may not be as big this time around, a lot of fans are surely happy to see the veteran actor in the newer Marvel films.

Neill will cameo in a movie that also stars "Jurassic Park" actor Jeff Goldblum. In Jurassic Park, Neill played world-renowned paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant and Goldblum played Chaos theorist Ian Malcolm.

In "Thor: Ragnarok," Goldblum will play the Grandmaster, an ancient being who enjoys gambling and pitting superheroes against each other. He is one of the Elders in the Marvel Universe but he is not the first one to appear.

Benecio del Toro has played another Elder; back in "Thor: The Dark World," the mid-credits scene introduced him as The Collector, an ancient life form who collects life forms from all over the galaxy. Del Toro then had a bigger role in Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy."

Neill hasn't  revealed any major details about his role, but fans can expect to see him when "Thor: Ragnarok" hit theaters on Nov. 3, 2017.
