"The Voice" began the knockout rounds on Monday and Tuesday at 8/7c on NBC with all the contestants trying to deliver knockout performances to stay alive.

Tuesday night's episode was punctuated by a dramatic last-minute steal and save that brought ecstasy to the singer.

In the second night of #VoiceKnockout rounds, pairs of singers from the same team competed against each other to earn a place in the live rounds. While all the coaches appeared to be having difficulty in selecting one singer over another, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera kept their remaining steals while seeking to claim talented performers from other teams.

The first #VoiceKnockout featured Corey Kent White and Cody Wickline, two artists whom Shelton called his "two young country vocalists." Wickline performed "Til My Last Day" by Justin Moore, while White performed an emotional rendition of Tim McGraw's Grammy Award-winning "Live Like You Were Dying" in honor of his sick grandfather.

Shelton showed difficulty in choosing his pick but eventually settled for Wickline.

"I'm so glad knowing that my grandfather was able to watch this performance," Wickline said after telling the judges that his grandfather was recovering. "This is better than it could have ever worked out in my wildest dreams."

Blaze Johnson, Jr. and Deanna Johnson, two pop-rock singers from Adam Levine's team, performed next. Blaze sang "You Found Me" by The Fray, looking pretty confident even though his voice just did not seem to be able to match the voices of the other performers. Deanna performed "Listen to Your Heart" by Roxette, appearing nervous as her husky voice turned pitchy in some places. Despite this, Levine picked her.

The final performances of the night came from two singers in Pharrell Williams team. Caitlin Caporale showcased her powerful vocals as she performed Demi Lovato's song "Warrior." She went up against Hannah Kirby who sang "Higher Love" by Steve Winwood. Both contestants displayed their dynamic personalities during their performances. But in the end, Williams picked Caitlin. "You're both my favorites, and I'm so proud of how you've come in this round," Williams said. "But I'm going to choose Caitlin."

Williams then turned to Hannah and said: "When you have those dance moves and that voice, people believe in you."

Shelton then cut in, saying "Yes they do," as he used his only steal to bring Hannah, an original member of his team, back into his fold. "I never dreamed I'd have the opportunity to have you back where you belong," Shelton told an ecstatic Hannah as they embraced.

This left Aguilera with the show's one remaining steal, which she's expected to use next week as the knockout rounds continue. "The Voice" returns Monday, March 30 at 8 ET / 7 CT on NBC.
