'The Sims 4' DLC news update: 'City Life' DLC expected; supernatural-themed content coming?
"The Sims 4" players are in for a big treat soon as the game is expected to receive another massive expansion pack, which is reportedly centered on city life.
A downloadable content (DLC) by the name "City Life" was leaked in the Brazilian game rating website. The listing is no longer there, which hints that it may have been revealed ahead of schedule.
This also lines up with the survey from last year with regards to the possible types of DLCs to be released for "The Sims 4." One is called "Metropolis" with the description as follows:
"Move into a bustling, modern city! Live in New apartments and penthouses eat food at carts and shop at street markets and immerse your Sims in the different cultures of the city by exploring the many diverse neighborhoods."
It is believed that the nature of the leak hints that "The Sims 4: City Life" DLC is a real thing and it could be made official this month or the next. It is expected to come with apartments and anything that will bring the Sims out of the community.
Interestingly, around this time last year, Electronic Arts and Maxis came out with a supernatural-themed DLC for "The Sims 3." If this will be the case in "The Sims 4," fans might get a taste of the mystical instead.
The expansion pack introduced vampires, ghost, fairies, witches, wolves and even zombies. It also allowed players to become these creatures.
The DLC also brought in a new neighbourhood called Moonlight Falls, where these creatures lived. It is unknown if EA will go this route for the next content for "The Sims 4."
Either way, it's been a while since players got to explore a new town so the next DLC could set that right this month. However, with no word from EA, fans will have to wait for official announcement first.
