'The Originals' season 4 spoilers news: Niklaus to fight Kol Mikaelson; Another dangerous enemy looms
In the Season 3 finale of CW's hit supernatural thriller series "The Originals," the viewers witnessed the prophesized downfall of the Original family, the Mikaelsons. At the beginning of the series, it was thought that the powerful original vampires composed of Niklaus (Joseph Morgan), Rebekah (Claire Holt), Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) are unbeatable, but the third season featured the rise of Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis), who acquired immense vampiric power enough to beat even the original vampire and werewolf hybrid that is Niklaus.
The fans saw how the older sister Freya (Riley Voelkel) saved herself and all of her siblings from imminent death by putting them in a slumber spell. Their slumber will keep them alive and safe for eternity, but they also need to find the cure to Marcel's deadly venom in order to save their lives.
As reported by Yibada, the upcoming fourth season will show the Mikaelson family rising back to their former glory after all the things that they have been through in Season 3. However, if the fans are expecting a huge and happy family reunion, they might be mistaken. Kol might still be harboring hatred towards Niklaus, Elijah and Freya for sacrificing the life of his girlfriend, Davina Claire (Danielle Campbell). With this, the fans may also see a bit of a sibling rivalry between Kol and Niklaus, although in the end, the former might realize how much his brother has sacrificed for their family.
Meanwhile, Game N Guide reported that another villainous vampire is set to target the Mikaelsons in "The Originals" Season 4. While Marcel appears to be the reigning villain of the series, another enemy of Niklaus is expected to be the one raising hell next season. After all, Marcel was a very good friend and ally of the Mikaelsons, and the series might not portray him as a totally evil character.
