'The Originals' season 4 spoilers news: Mystery person to rescue Klaus? Rebekah and Davina returning for season 4?

The third season of "The Originals" left many loose ends hanging, and fans are expecting that season 4's premiere episode would start tying them one by one. What would happen to the siblings? Who would rescue Klaus from his agony-induced coma?

There have been too many speculations concerning the fate of the Original family, especially after the hell they've been through in season 3. Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) made the ultimate self-sacrifice for his family, ending up entombed after falling into a coma. On the other hand, the rest of the siblings were sent to a dreamscape where they await a possible savior. All these left fans wondering who will save the Mikaelsons, in particular Klaus, from their doom.

However, in a previous interview with TV Guide, showrunner Michael Narducci said that none of his siblings would save Klaus from his Tunde Blade-induced fate. He hinted that a mystery rescuer would come to save Klaus. He also said that Klaus might be the one to rescue his siblings from dreamscape once he wakes up from his coma.

There is also the possibility that Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis) and Vincent Griffith (Yusuf Gatewood) would team up and go against the Original clan. However, since Narducci previously told Entertainment Weekly that Marcel is not and will never be the villain of "The Originals," it could be that Marcel and Vincent would come together for the common good of everyone in and around New Orleans.

Meanwhile, Claire Holt, who plays Rebekah Mikaelson, and Danielle Campbell, who plays Davina, might be returning in "The Originals" season 4. It will be remembered that Holt bid goodbye to the series to explore other projects but has since appeared as a regular guest on the show. Campbell's Davina, on the other hand, was killed.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, Holt said that her "The Originals" character is hard to walk away from and that she would love to be back this upcoming season. She even said that things were left open-ended in season 3's finale, so the chances of fans seeing the return of Rebekah are high.

As for Campbell, she told TV Line that the producers and writers of the show are "still going to be figuring out the next storylines once they return for the next season, so it hinges on what'll happen a few months from now. But never say never!"

"The Originals" season 4 is slated to return on The CW sometime between January and March 2017.
