An unknown evil entity has chosen the children of New Orleans as its prey, including Hope (Summer Fontana). Meanwhile, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will not be reunited with Caroline (Candice King) anytime soon.
On the next episode of "The Originals" season 4, titled "Haunter of Ruins," a magical and evil entity is out to get the children of New Orleans, including Hope. As seen from the episode 3 promo, one missing child alarms Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood), and he tries to tell Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) of a looming threat.
Meanwhile, Klaus is keen on building a strong relationship with Hope. However, the unknown threat and their family conflict keep getting in the way.
"After five long years apart, Klaus attempts to reconnect with his daughter, Hope. Even as father and daughter bond, the rest of the family is still in turmoil. Elijah (Daniel Gillies) mediates a conflict between Hayley and Freya (Riley Voelkel) to determine the best way to protect the family. Meanwhile, in New Orleans, Vincent tells Marcel terrible secrets about his ex -wife, Eva Sinclair (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), even as they begin their search for a mysterious witch who plans to sacrifice a group of innocent children - including Hope Mikaelson," the episode listing reads on The Futon Critic reads.
Aside from Hope, Klaus wants to rebuild his relationship with Caroline, especially now that both their lovers from their home series have left them. Unfortunately, series creator Julie Plec confirmed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that there will be no reunion for Klaus and Caroline.
However, Plec teases that there will be "crossover elements" in "The Originals" season 4 that will lead them either to the future of the series or to a beginning of a new spin-off franchise that will end the story of the Mikaelsons.
"The Originals" season 4 airs every Friday night at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
