'The Man in the High Castle' season 2 release date, spoilers, update: Juliana to betray the Resistance?
Amazon's dystopian drama series "The Man in the High Castle" will be launched just in time for a significant change in America.
For the uninitiated, the TV adaptation is loosely based on the novel written by Philip K. Dick. Although the pilot season for the show had a few criticisms, the upcoming season, as revealed in the trailer, will be exciting to watch. Since the show received high ratings in its first season, there are high expectations for season 2 of "The Man in the High Castle."
Since the show debuted in Jan. 15, 2015, it became Amazon described it as the series "most-watched since the original series development program began." Due to its success, it was renewed for another season. The 10-episode season 2 is expected to launch on Dec. 16.
According to Indie Wire, the second season of "The Man in the High Castle" will portray how a country's future can be moulded by citizens who strive to make a difference. Perhaps the upcoming season is based on America's current predicament, with the unexpected win of business tycoon Donald Trump as president.
In the teaser, drastic changes will be implemented in the country and it will seep into the lives of the show's well-loved characters. A man can be heard in the trailer, saying "We are on the same side," implying a divide in the nation, and a single problem they need to overcome.
Juliana Crain (Alexa Davalos) will be reprising her role in the upcoming season. Her character will think about the possibility and the consequences of betraying the Resistance.
"The Man in the High Castle" will premiere on Amazon Prime on Friday, Dec. 16.
