'The Flash' season 3 spoilers: 'Sleepy Hollow' star as Gypsy; character arrival to connect to Black Canary too?

A few days ago, it was reported that DC Comics character Gypsy will be introduced in "The Flash" season 3. Set photos also turned up, but now, the name of the actress that will portray her has been revealed.

"Sleepy Hollow" star Jessica Camacho was tapped to play the role. Gypsy will be of help to Cisco (Carlos Valdes) in fully developing his vibe powers.

There is no better person to help him than Gypsy as she possesses the same set of skills, albeit more advanced than that of Cisco, at least moving into "The Flash" season 3.

Gypsy, who has been a member of the Justice League and the Birds of Prey (of which Black Canary was also a part of), has the power to project illusions inside the minds of anyone, which means that she can cast nightmarish ones to mess with their heads.

She can even seamlessly insert herself in a background without being seen. Like Cisco, she can bring along anyone in close proximity to her.

The development of Cisco's power has been on the backburner in the first half of "The Flash" season 3 as the show reels from the repercussions of Flashpoint. However, it looks like there will be massive development on this front when "The Flash" season 3 returns. After all, Cisco could be putting his powers to use during a fight with Caitlin as Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker).

Fans will recall that when he vibed her, he saw himself battling Killer Frost, who was even in full costume. It is believed that "The Flash" season 3 will revisit this.

There is no telling what Gypsy's arrival will be like. Her ties to Justice League and Birds of Prey have many hoping that it will usher the possible return of Black Canary (Katie Cassidy) of "Arrow" to the superhero crime-fighting business.
