'The Flash' season 3 spoilers, plot news: Killer Frost takes over Caitlin; clashes with Barry and Cisco in episode 7

In the seventh episode of "The Flash" season 3, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) aka Killer Frost will be going against her friends.

A synopsis for the upcoming episode revealed that the former S.T.A.R. labs scientist will find her powers unleashed. Although she has been desperately trying to distance herself from her friends to pacify her powers, she will have no choice but to use them in episode 7, as she will have to save Barry aka The Flash (Grant Gustin).

When she saves Barry, her metahuman powers, which have lain dormant until now, will take over her completely. Once the metahuman side takes over, Killer Frost will go berserk and she will even kidnap Julian (Tom Felton). To prevent her metahuman side from running loose, Barry and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) will fight her to subdue her.

The seventh episode is directed by Kevin Smith. The director has been working on it since September, and he has regularly teased his social media followers about it. Recently, Smith posted on Instagram wherein he praised the actors for their performance.

He posted a photo with Panabaker and Valdes, and added a rather lengthy message about the cast and the production for the episode. He said, "...The episode is called #KillerFrost and @dpanabaker (Panabaker) absolutely CRUSHES in it, while @tha_los (Valdes) has one of my favorite moments ever filmed for #TheFlash."

In the same post, he warned fans of "The Flash" to bring tissues, as the episode will be an emotional ride. Moreover, the director announced that viewers will discover something new.

The director couldn't stop gushing about each character's important scene and about how each actor performed really well during the shoot.

The seventh episode of "The Flash" season 3 is expected to premiere on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
