'The Flash' season 3 episode 9 spoilers: Barry travels to Earth 3 to seek help from Jay

In the upcoming episode of The CW's TV adaptation of DC's scarlet speedster, "The Flash," the titular character seeks help from the guardian of the Speed Force to defeat Savitar once and for all.

In this Christmas episode titled "The Present," Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) aka The Flash attempts to put an end to Savitar. But to accomplish his goal, the speedster needs some assistance. Hence, he travels to Earth-3 to seek help from Jay Garrick (John Wesley Shipp). Though the synopsis for the episode doesn't indicate how long Barry stays in the alternate world, he stays long enough to help Jay catch their world's Trickster (Mark Hamill).

According to reports, the three aforementioned actors filmed the scene last Oct. 19 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The speedsters reportedly stopped Hamill's Trickster from blowing up a building. A few lucky fans who were able to witness the scene noted that the setting for Earth-3 is in 1998. The clothes the actors wore during filming were pretty indicative of the era they were in. The fans who were able to snap a few photos of the scene shared the teasers online.

Since Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) recently acquired his super speed from Doctor Alchemy in the previous episode, the latest speedster attempts to help Barry end Savitar. On the other hand, Iris (Candice Patton) reveals that he has been secretly working with Harrison (Tom Cavanagh).

Furthermore, in the episode, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) has to face his first Christmas without his brother Dante (Nicholas Gonzalez), which brings up memories and opens old wounds.

"The Present" is directed by Rachel Talalay. "The Flash" season 3 episode 9 airs on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
