Two potentially significant turning points presented in this week's episode of "The Flash" may result in major changes to the character dynamics in The CW's hit DC-based series.

Now that it has been revealed that the new Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh), who prefers to be called H.R., is actually a science fiction writer and the disgraced face of Earth-19's S.T.A.R. Labs instead of the brainy scientist everybody has initially pegged him to be, Team Flash may be in need of a real scientist to take Harrison's place, especially now that Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) is at risk of losing herself to her newfound powers.

TV Guide  that in lieu of these unforeseen developments, and the need that may soon come up at S.T.A.R. Labs, newcomer Julian Albert (Tom Felton) may eventually end up joining Team Flash, which no longer seems like a long shot now that he has begun warming up to both The Flash (Grant Gustin) and his alter ego, Barry Allen.

With the extensive studies he's been doing about meta-humans he may even provide helpful insight to Caitlin's current dilemma, that is if Team Flash's resident bio-engineer ever decides to open up to her team before her powers completely turn her into Killer Frost.

Speaking with Nerdist, actress Panabaker revealed that like episode five, the upcoming episodes six and seven will also be featuring more of Caitlin's struggle with her powers and her relationship with her mom, renowned biochemical researcher Carla Tannhauser (Susan Walters).

Caitlin will be undergoing some physical changes as her body gradually adjusts to her abilities. But since she seems adamant about keeping it all to herself, she will have to deal with it on her own.

"She's going to have to figure out different ways to cope with these changes," Panabaker shared.

The episode preview for "The Flash" season 3 episode 6 titled "Shade" reveals yet another character who is in danger of going dark in his pursuit of power. Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) is plagued by dreams of himself as Kid Flash in the timeline that Barry has previously created and has since reversed. The knowledge that he could've been a powerful hero in a parallel existence may just frustrate him enough to turn to Doctor Alchemy for help.

Barry will be forced to reveal what became of Kid Flash in that other timeline, but will this be enough to stop Wally from making a decision that could drastically change not only his life but also the lives of everyone he loves?

"The Flash" returns in two weeks on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
