'The Blacklist: Redemption' season 1 spoilers: What's in store for the mercenary team?

Only three episodes of "The Blacklist: Redemption" have been aired, but this show about reformed criminals is already shaping up to be a good one, with several mysteries dangled to hook viewers in.

In episode 4, "Operation Davenport," the team will need to find a way to lock down Manhattan after it was taken over by terrorists who escaped from a secret prison in the city. Meanwhile, Susan "Scottie" Hargrave (Famke Janssen) will find information about her husband which could lead to her discovering the true identity of Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold), a covert agent who, unknown to her, is also her son, which she lost when he was kidnapped when he was still a child.

In episode 5, "Borealis 301," Tom and Mr. Solomon (Edi Gathegi) will need to go undercover as they hunt for a thieves' circle who steal classified information. They will act get on an international flight that they believe will get hijacked, based on their intel. Meanwhile, Howard (Terry O'Quinn), Scottie's former husband, will urge Tom to investigate Scottie, who he believes has set up a conspiracy.

In episode 6, "Hostages," the team must find a way to rescue a wealthy family when they get abducted by kidnappers. They will need to face a tough decision when they run out of time. Meanwhile, Tom risks being identified as a covert agent when he tries to save Howard from Scottie.

"The Blacklist: Redemption" is the spin-off of "The Blacklist." According to NBC, the show revolves around some of the criminals from Raymond Reddington's infamous list from the main series banding together to form their own elite mercenary team to solve "problems governments don't dare touch" as a way of finding redemption for their crimes. Meanwhile, Tom will find answers about his past. The show airs every Thursday night at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
