'The Big Bang Theory' Spoilers: Leonard-Penny Wedding Really Taking Place?
Leonard (John Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) comprise one of the most well-loved couples in "The Big Bang Theory," and fans are wondering whether they will be tying the knot in the not-so-distant future.
Kaley, who plays the role of Penny, said the wedding is not far-fetched but is still a long way to go. "Penny and Leonard took so long to get engaged that a wedding to me sounds like in a distant planet. I don't know what the writers have planned. I know they've said that they've thought about it and they're going to do something very unique and special, which I don't even know about, that'll just be completely different from what anyone expects," she said. "But that's kind of Big Bang for you. You never know what you're going to get," she added.
Steve Molaro, executive producer, in an interview with TV Line, said they are not rushing with the wedding and that the upcoming episodes will be about engagement issues, which involve "future living arrangements regarding Sheldon."
As for the death of Carol Ann Susi, who voices over Wolowitz's mother, the show will be paying homage to her. Molaro explained that the death will be "dealt with," adding that "we just needed time to process the loss of our friend."
Meanwhile Sheldon and Amy are still a work in progress. The producer said, "We are discovering the show, the relationships, the problems, as we go along. It's more a discovery process than a planning one."
Spencer revealed in an interview that the production team called her up to say, "Don' worry, we love you. We're having you back soon. We just want to let you know. Sorry for the changes."
