'The Big Bang Theory' season 10 release date, spoilers news 2016: First teaser of Penny's family released; Series ends after 10th season?
"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 has just released the first teaser for its premiere episode, which features Penny's family. If the trailer is any indication, it looks like the upcoming season will be one hilarious ride.
As fans and viewers of the sitcom know, season 10 will feature Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard's (Johnny Galecki) wedding. Hence, Penny's family members headed down to Pasadena to witness the momentous occasion.
The clip was exclusively released by Entertainment Tonight, and in it, Penny could be seen sharing a beer with her father, Wyatt (Keith Carradine), who's asking how her job as a pharmaceutical sales agent is coming along. Penny's mom Susan (Katey Sagal) then chimes in and says, "See what happens when you work hard?" to Penny's brother Randall (Jack McBryer).
Check out the clip below for the funny exchange that ensues:
The video gives fans a closer look at the dynamics of Penny's family, particularly her close relationship with her dad, something that showrunner Steven Molaro previously talked about in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. He likewise dished about Penny and Leonard's intimate garden wedding.
"It's small with family and friends. It's outdoors at an arboretum in Pasadena that's quite pretty and outdoors on our stage. It's nice, and despite all the weirdness going on around it, you still have Leonard and Penny, who still love each other," he said.
In other news, Cuoco recently appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" where she might have hinted on the show's fate. Apparently, some contracts are up for some cast members, and although negotiations are ongoing, there's no denying that the net worth of actors go higher as a show stays longer on air.
Which is probably why the actress quipped, "It's a very expensive question...for a lot of people," when asked if there will be season 11 for the series.
"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 will premiere on CBS on Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. ET.
