'The Big Bang Theory' season 10 spoilers news: Are the guys in trouble with Colonel Williams?

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 opened up last Monday with a look at Penny and Leonard Hofstadter's renewal of wedding vows. The episode also saw Sheldon Cooper wondering if he and Leonard will end up stepbrothers after what happened to their parents in the season 9 finale.

Episode 1, which was titled "The Conjugal Conjecture" saw tensions rise in Apartment 4B as Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) tried to step in-between family feuds and pacify everyone before the big day.

Sheldon was worried that something happened between his mother Mary and Leonard's father Alfred after the two went missing during the pre-wedding dinner. It turned out the two merely shared a drink and talked, with no hanky-panky involved.

Nerves were strung high on the part of Penny's family, especially her mother Susan (Katey Sagal), who was meeting Leonard's "educated" parents for the first time with Penny's brother Randall (Jack McBryer), who has just gotten out of jail, and her dad Wyatt (Keith Carradine). The scenes with Randall and Wyatt trying to break tension and keep things cordial with drug jokes was both awkward and hilarious.

Suffice it to say, Penny and Leonard's renewal of vows, with their family and friends as witnesses, was poignantly beautiful.

During the festivities, Air Force representative Colonel Williams (Dean Norris) dropped in for a word with Caltech engineer Howard (Simon Helberg). His arrival set the tone for next Monday's episode 2, which is titled "The Military Miniaturization."

"Colonel Williams (Dean Norris), an Air Force representative from the Department of Material Command sits down to talk with Wolowitz," reads the synopsis for the upcoming episode.

Monday's episode will pick up with Howard finally agreeing to meet Colonel Williams, who's keen on talking to Howard about the quantum gyroscope he invented. Episode 2 will let fans know what it is that Colonel Williams wants, and what Howard, Sheldon, and the rest of their friends will do about it.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10, episode 2 airs on CBS on Monday, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. EDT.
