"Tekken" is one of the biggest names in the fighting game genre today, and fans are eagerly waiting for the console version release of "Tekken 7." Reports have been going around, claiming that the developers plan to have paid downloadable content (DLC) available for anyone who wants to make "Tekken" a bit more interesting.

Reports say that the game's producer, Katsuhiro Harada, has talked about the possibility of having paid DLC available for the game. Harada said that he believes that fighting games should be released as a package for all fans to enjoy, and if the fans want something new to the table, Bandai Namco will be more than happy to oblige.

The market for video games has been having a huge demand on digital releases, and Harada says that fans have no problem with paying for DLC as long as the content they're paying for is exciting and new. Harada also says that the team has no current DLC planned, but it is something that the developers will have to discuss very soon.

"Tekken Tag Tournament 2" was the latest console-playable release in the "Tekken" franchise (since "Tekken 7" has already been released for the arcade last year), and it was received with success and praise from its fans. Aside from the new characters presented (like the female wrestler Jaycee, who is really just the old character, Julia), the game also brought back updated versions of classic characters like Ogre and Jun Kazama.

"Tekken 7" introduces Akuma from the ever-popular "Street Fighter" franchise, and it looks like he will be having an all-out rivalry with Heihachi Mishima. The roster will also include Lee Chaolan/Violet, and photos of a young Kazuya and Heihachi show that the characters will be available in story mode.

Bandai Namco also makes this game available for crossplay, allowing players to fight each other regardless of their chosen platform.

"Tekken 7" is expected to be released in early 2017, and it will be available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
