'Teen Wolf' season 6 air date, spoilers: New villains headed to Beacon Hills; Tyler Posey dishes on 'more mature' 6th season
There are barely three months to go before the sixth and final installment of MTV's "Teen Wolf" hits the small screens, and while all eyes are glued to Stiles following Dylan O'Brien's accident last March, it's worth noting what season 6 has in store for Beacon Hills' resident alpha male, Scott McCall.
Very little is known about Scott's (Tyler Posey) arc in the upcoming season, although there were earlier reports that Scott will be loveless in season 6. Apparently, the showrunners decided on it to give the character time to sort things on his own, without a partner influencing his life.
BuddyTV had a chance to sit down with Posey for an interview during the San Diego Comic-Con, and there, the 24-year-old actor talked about Scott's relationship with Theo (Cody Christian), Scott's love life, what's in store for Scott in season 6, and why he thinks the upcoming season is "more mature" than the ones before it. Check out the video below:
Based on Posey's interview with BuddyTV, Scott will be single in season 6, as the "break" from any romantic pursuits will allow him time to get to know himself better. In fact, the actor said Scott's arc is much like what he's experienced in reality, being better off single. Posey ended a 10-year relationship with Seana Gorlick in 2014.
Posey likewise talked about season 6's creepy new villains, the Ghost Riders, who don't kill but snatch people. A report by International Business Times said these villains have the ability to erase memories, and there's a possibility that they would target Stiles (O'Brien). According to Posey, these villains are much different from those they have faced throughout the series. The gang will actually have a hard time figuring out how to stop the Ghost Riders.
The actor went on to say that season 6 is more linear and not as confusing as seasons 1 through 5; thus, it will be more mature. Moreover, Scott will consider Theo as more of an annoyance than a threat this season, but he'll keep him around to add more muscles to his pack.
"Teen Wolf" season 6 is premiering on Nov. 15 on MTV. Keep coming back for more news and updates about the supernatural series.
