'Teen Wolf' season 6 spoilers, news: Will Canaan's present become Beacon Hills' future?
In their continuing search for an alleged friend named Stiles (Dylan O'Brien), Scott (Tyler Posey), Lydia (Holland Roden), and Malia (Shelley Hennig) will find themselves driving into a ghost town in the next episode of "Teen Wolf" season 6.
In his final message to his friends who were still struggling to remember him, Stiles told them to go find a place named Canaan, which turns out to be a nearly deserted town right outside Beacon Hills, save for one crazed Banshee. The trailer for the next episode also shows a dream that Lydia has about a bloody carousel and the disappearances of people in clouds of smoke.
What could these visions mean? In a sneak peek recently posted by MTV, Lydia gets transported through a mirror to what looks to be Canaan in the olden days when the town was still bustling with life on the town's anniversary. Will Lydia be seeing the Wild Hunt at work in Canaan, perhaps as a warning to what is about to become of Beacon Hills? And who is the white-haired woman that she sees and follows through the mirror? What could've lured the Ghost Riders to a town like Canaan?
Scott's pack seems to be closing in on the truth about the Wild Hunt. And now that they finally believe that Stiles really does exist, will they be more persistent and determined to figure out a way to bring him back?
Actress Roden recently spoke with Screener TV about her character Lydia's possible connection with Stiles and why she's the only one who has managed to keep lingering memories of him. It could either be caused by an "unspoken otherworldly connection," the fact that Lydia is a Banshee, or something else that goes far beyond their friendship.
The episode synopsis for the upcoming sixth episode also states that the junior pack's Liam Dunbar (Dylan Sprayberry) and Hayden Romero (Victoria Moroles) will also be taking some drastic steps of their own in their ongoing fight against the Ghost Riders.
"Teen Wolf" season 6 will return on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 9 p.m. EST on MTV.
