Taylor Swift pregnancy rumors 2016: Singer flashes toned stomach at CMAs
Despite rumors to the contrary, it appears that Grammy winner Taylor Swift is not, after all, expecting.
The "Bad Blood" singer returned to the Country Music Association Awards on Wednesday, Nov. 2, where she bared her toned, flat stomach, essentially disproving the reports that she is with child.
The singer/songwriter showed off her midriff in a black and nude patterned halter-neck gown by Julien Macdonald as she presented the Entertainer of the Year award. The gown had a skintight cut and large cut-outs in the front and sides, which showed off Swift's slim figure.
"It's almost been 13 years since I came to Nashville to become a songwriter and recording artist and I've learned so much about what it means to be an entertainer from the remarkable artists in this arena tonight," the "Shake It Off" singer told the crowd at the 2016 CMAs. "That's one of the reasons I feel so honored to present this award to any one of these five outstanding nominees for Entertainer of the Year and be apart of this historic night we will always remember," she added.
Swift's appearance at the event hits back at recent claims that the 26-year-old singer is pregnant. This month, a U.S. tabloid published a front page story claiming that Swift is expecting her first child. The caption "Pregnant! Who's The Dad?" was plastered alongside a paparazzi shot of the "Blank Space" singer with a slightly rounded tummy.
According to the tabloid, sources claimed that Swift, who recently broke up with beau Tom Hiddleston, is keeping her pregnancy a secret but that those around her are convinced that she is pregnant.
The publication cited unidentified sources saying that Swift has been avoiding alcohol and that she has become "super emotional." Informants also commented on the singer's supposed weight gain and increased appetite.
Swift has not responded to these reports.
