'Taylor Swift' new album 2016 news: Swift did not seek approval from Tom Hiddleston for new songs

There are rumors going around that singing sensation Taylor Swift is seeking permission from ex-boyfriend Tom Hiddleston for some of her songs in her new album.

OK Magazine claims that the pop star is keen on not keeping Hiddleston in the dark with her project so that he will not be shocked when the new album comes out.

"[Taylor Swift] sends him drafts and loops him in on how the process is going, and nothing will be recorded without Tom's consent," a source reportedly told the site.

Gossip Cop debunks the report with a source that it claims is much more reliable than that of the magazine and actually existent.

These claims are "completely false," as per the publication's source and that Swift did not send material from her purported new album to her ex for approval.

Hiddleston and Swift dated during the summer, sending the internet in a racket. However, it ended just after three months, during which they were spotted getting cozy at the Rhode Island beach and at one point, the former proclaimed his love with an "I Heart T.S." shirt.

At the moment, there remains no confirmation that Swift is working on her next album. However, a clue about what she is up to as far as making music popped up last week.

The "Shake It Off" singer recently signed a multi-year deal with AT&T, which has been heavily promoting its collaboration with the superstar.

In promoting on Twitter a television channel that broadcasts all things Taylor Swift, the company teased "new music" in the caption. They quickly deleted it but not before eagle-eyed fans managed to get a screenshot.

This had many believing that Swift has something up her sleeves, perhaps a brand-new album. Whether she is actively working on it or not remains to be seen at the moment.
