Daphne (Katie Leclerc) becomes concerned when she discovers that her medical mentor is putting his patients' lives at risk on the upcoming episode of Freeform's "Switched at Birth" season 5.

Titled "Four Ages in Life," next week's episode will center on Daphne and her effort to earn extra credit in school. According to the official synopsis, Daphne takes on a volunteer job at a clinic to improve her grades. While working, she crosses paths with Dr. Jackson (guest star Al White), her old mentor. Despite her eagerness to mend fences with him, she becomes worried when she notices that he is having difficulties in treating his patients properly.

Elsewhere, the annual "Kangaroo Krawl" will be led by Mingo (guest star Adam Hagenbuch). Daphne sees his recent reckless behavior, and she thinks it's a reaction to the costume party incident. Bay also finds herself in a sticky situation when she finds Noelle (guest star Valery Ortiz) plagiarizing her work. To make things worse, Noelle is using it as an opportunity to negotiate her own chair. Regina (Constance Marie) encounters complications when she tries to expand her business, while Kathryn (Lea Thompson) and John (D.W. Moffett) attempt to bring fire back to their relationship.

Freeform released a new promo for the episode, and it opens with Daphne having a conversation with Bay. "What if someone really does get hurt?" Bay asks Daphne, referring to the mistakes done by the latter's medical mentor. Aside from showing emotional scenes, the clip also hints that there will be major consequences and revelations. The teaser ends with a woman telling Daphne, "I know who you are."

The previous episode marked the conclusion of the show's campus racism storyline and the season's halfway point. Speaking with TV Guide, series creator Lizzy Weiss shared teasers for the next episode. "Two episodes after this one, we have our 100th episode," she said. "It's just a huge milestone. Giles Marini (Angelo), is back in a very special way since he passed away... It's more of a 'regular' Switched at Birth episode with our girls at the forefront and the parents," she added.

The fifth and final season of "Switched at Birth" airs every Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET on Freeform.
