Superman/Clark Kent may not be appearing in all episodes of "Supergirl" season 2, but it doesn't necessarily mean he won't have his own villain to contend with. Latest set pictures for the series revealed who Superman's opponent would be.

The casting of "Teen Wolf's" Tyler Hoechlin as Superman, Supergirl/Kara Zor-El's (Melissa Benoist) equally super cousin was met with mixed reactions, as some thought the casting was a flop. However, Hoechlin isn't letting those affect his work, as the actor was recently seen in full battle gear in Vancouver.

Screenrant reported that the video taken by a fan from a balcony overlooking the set of "Supergirl" season 2 showed Superman and a familiar villain, which turned out to be Metallo, fighting.

Comic book fans would be quick to notice that Metallo looks differently than he does, as he should look more like a cyborg, but the green glowing stone on his chest is enough of a giveaway. In the now-defunct "Smallville," Brian Austin Green breathed life to Metallo. This villain may not be as popular as Doomsday or Lex Luthor, but his Kryptonite heart should be a gauge on how tough an opponent he would be to Superman.

Meanwhile, Cosmic Book News has likewise released set images showing Katie McGrath filming her scenes in Vancouver. McGrath would be playing to role of Lex Luthor's sister, Lena. In a character brief for Lena, it was revealed that she would be arriving in National City in the wake of her brother's captivity.

She's now the CEO of her family's billion-dollar tech company, and she's hoping she could have a fresh start in National City. Lena's goal would be to rebrand her family's empire and give it a complete turnaround from the tainted reputation Lex has given it. As Kara is drawn to Lena's circle, it remains to be seen if she would be a friend or a foe.

Meanwhile, it has just been confirmed that Calista Flockhart, who plays Cat Grant on the series, would reprise her role, albeit in a semi-regular manner. The move from CBS to The CW has prompted the production of "Supergirl" to move its location to Vancouver, and according to Deadline, Flockhart was only willing to take jobs based in Los Angeles since she doesn't want to uproot her family.

Thanks to a compromise, Flockhart agreed to fly every few weeks to Vancouver where she would try to shoot as many scenes as the commute would allow. Apparently, although reduced to a recurring role, Flockhart would still receive pay based on her contract as a series regular.

"Supergirl" season 2 premieres on Monday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
