With the Season 1 downloadable content (DLC) for "Street Fighter 5" now released, gamers are starting to focus on the Season 2 DLC, which is yet to be announced.

According to the latest rumors, Capcom will reveal new details about the said roster expansion during the Capcom Cup, which will take place in December.

Since the "Street Fighter 5" DLC is set next year, it is expected that the developer will provide details about the next group of characters coming to the game.

Fans have their own favorites they want to see in the DLC, and the names often given by them include Oro, Rose, Sagat, Q and Abel.

Capcom's next move on the expansion side of things will be vital for the whole game as it could save the poor number of sales of "Street Fighter 5."

Eurogamer said that the number of sales from February barely increased in the following months. In fact, from May to September, Capcom only shipped 100,000 copies of "Street Fighter 5."

According to the site, to blame here is the game's struggle to embrace the fighting game community may it be casual fans or hardcore ones. Eurogamer believes that there are many factors that caused this. The disastrous launch of "Street Fighter 5" set it all up as players who have been waiting for the game were welcomed in it with missing features and a debacle of an online mode.

Capcom also appears to overcharge fans when it comes to DLC. The publication notes how overpriced the Capcom Pro Tour DLC as Capcom practically charged $10 for the stage.

Despite all this, fans appear to be willing to give "Street Fighter 5" a chance at redemption. Some believe that re-releasing it as a Super or Ultra version would help.

The season 2 DLC is also being considered as a way for Capcom to redeem "Street Fighter 5" by using it to add elements that will appeal to non-hardcore fighting game fans, including an improved single-player mode.

At the moment, there is no word on Capcom's plans for "Street Fighter 5" but they would have to do something if they want to keep the game alive.
