The latest teaser for "Steven Universe" season 4 has perhaps dropped a major hint about what's coming in the popular animated series.

After airing seven episodes between August and September this year, the award-winning Cartoon Network program is expected to return this November with more exciting adventures for Steven (Zach Callison) and his friends Pearl (Deedee Magno), Garnet (Estelle) and Amethyst (Michaela Dietz).

At the recently held New York Comic Con, Cartoon Network released a sneak peek into an upcoming "Steven Universe" season 4 episode titled "Gem Harvest." In it, Lapis Lazuli (Jennifer Paz) and Peridot (Shelby Rabara) are trying to grow vegetables on a farm. After Steven tells them that vegetables neither talk nor move, they become disappointed, prompting Steven to plant a seed to make them happy.

Later, it is revealed that they have managed to grow some pumpkins and that one of those pumpkins — one that barks and runs around like a puppy — takes a liking to Steven, which again makes Lapis and Peridot sad. So Steven takes one of their inanimate pumpkins and carves a face into it, scaring the first pumpkin. It seeks comfort with Lapis and Peridot, which finally makes the two Gems happy.

This sneak peek has fans speculating that because Lapis and Peridot seem to be spending a lot of time together, they may soon create a fusion. Fans have reportedly been waiting to see Peridot become part of a fusion in "Steven Universe."

While Peridot and Lapis haven't always been on good terms, the "Steven Universe" season 4 sneak peek shows the two working together and sharing what appears to be an amiable relationship.

Aside from the Lapis-Peridot fusion, there has also been much talk about seeing more of Rose Quartz (Susan Egan) and her backstory in the coming episodes.

Meanwhile, "Steven Universe" was a recent topic on "Queer Kid Stuff," the children's web series that tackles queer themes and experiences in a fun but educational way that young people can easily digest and relate with.

"In my humble opinion, 'Steven Universe' is the best show on television ― kid's show or not," "Queer Kid Stuff" creator Lindsay Amer told The Huffington Post. "It's also the only show for kids I've ever come across that directly depicts queer characters, has wacky adventure storylines with badass female leads, and it's on Cartoon Network. I cannot undersell this show and that's why I wanted to make a video about it."

"Steven Universe" season 4 is expected to return with "Gem Harvest" sometime in November on Cartoon Network.
