'Steven Universe' season 4 air date, plot news: Show returns this November; Steven acquires new powers
Fans of the Cartoon Network show "Steven Universe" don't need to wait too long for the rest of season 4, which went on hiatus starting September. The animated show will return to the small screen this month, with an episode highlighting Steven's new powers.
To note, the show's abrupt hiatus brought fear among its loyal viewers who dreaded that the network might cancel the show. Reports said that the delay was caused by creator Rebecca Sugar, who was still resolving censorship issues with Cartoon Network. Furthermore, fans thought that Sugar, who is also part of the development team for "Adventure Time," would cancel the show, following in the footsteps of "Adventure Time."
But "Steven Universe" is going to continue season 4 with an episode titled "Gem Harvest" on Nov. 17. When the lead character grows up, his powers evolve into something that even Gems will become jealous of. Like the episode aired in August titled "Bismuth," episode 8 of season 4 will be a half-hour special. Reports said that "Gen Harvest" is the only episode slated to premiere this November.
In the episode, Steven will be visiting the barn this autumn, where he will learn magic and make a new friend. "Gem Harvest" will also showcase how Steven's magic has evolved. He will practice on some pumpkins and will manage to bring them to life.
Lapis and Peridot will reportedly be disappointed when they see Steven succeed because they haven't. However, the lead character will find a way to make the Gems happy again. Steven will make the Gems bond with their pumpkins. Other speculations suggested that his newly discovered powers can be controlled by his aunts.
Cartoon Network has yet to confirm the rest of the episodes for season 4. Watch out for more updates on "Steven Universe" season 4.
