Steam Winter Sale 2016 date leaks: discount event start date revealed in leak
The Steam Winter Sale 2016 will begin on Thursday, Dec. 22, at least based on a report on NeoGAF that was followed up by a confirmation from Eurogamer.
According to NeoGAF user Tizoc, who has provided accurate information on the winter online shopping festivities last season, the sale will reportedly last up to Jan. 2, 2017.
Last year's Steam Winter Sale occurred on the same day and stretched up to January 2016 and it appears that fans will see a repeat of this later this month.
The report comes just days after the Steam Autumn Sale 2016 wrapped up, but fans will likely be unable to get enough of the shopping bonanzas on offer.
Valve Corporation is yet to make the official announcement about the Steam Winter Sale 2016, but if it is anything like last year's (which is a good bet), thousands of titles and software will be offered on low prices and great discounts.
Meanwhile, the dates for Steam Autumn Sale this year (Nov. 23 to 29) were also leaked early last month by a Twitter user named Iashman.
He also provided information on the dates when the Steam Winter Sale 2016 will happen and they match the details provided by Tizoc.
Since Iashman's information about the Steam Autumn Sale turned out accurate, the same can be expected for the details he gave about the Steam Winter Sale 2016.
Although the date is still unconfirmed, it is believed that the Steam Winter Sale 2016 will take place around that date anyway so gamers can prepare their wallets this early already for this 11-day sale galore.
While Steam has discount events all year round, it is the Steam Winter Sale that majority of gamers, if not all, look forward to the most as the price markdowns are much higher than they are in other seasonal sales.
The Steam Winter Sale 2016 should be a good time to pick up the games that players have been looking forward to experience and more.
