'Star Wars Battlefront' ultimate edition release date, news, and upates: Trailer gives first look at 'Scarif' DLC
Anyone who hasn't been able to join in on "Star Wars Battlefront" now has the chance to buy the Ultimate Edition of the game which will include all of the downloadable content (DLC) that has been released so far, as well as the upcoming "Scarif" expansion. EA has just launched a new trailer for the set, and it also has a first look at what to expect in the "Scarif" DLC.
In the trailer, the Ultimate Edition boasts to give audiences "the complete 'Star Wars Battlefront' experience." The package will contain the DLC titles "Outer Rim," "Bespin," "Death Star" and "Scarif."
To those unfamiliar, the "Scarif" DLC will be set in a tropical planet of the same name that will be introduced in the upcoming "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" DLC. The trailer includes short glimpses of Jyn Erso and her band of rebels, as well as the new Shoretrooper class that will debut in the movie.
The official description of the Ultimate Edition is as follows: "The 'Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition' has everything you need to live out your 'Star Wars' battle fantasies, including 'Star Wars Battlefront' and 'Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass.' Rebels and Imperials alike will be able to expand their galaxy, with 4 expansion packs, 30+ maps, 14 heroes and 14 game modes."
According to EA's official site, the Ultimate Edition of "Battlefront" is now available for purchase, and it has a price tag of $49.90 for the PC. That's cheaper than buying the deluxe edition of the game as well as the season pass which gives access to all DLCs. The Ultimate Edition is also available for other platforms like the PS4 and Xbox One.
Though the "Scarif" DLC may still be underway, gamers can now access the Ultimate Edition when they purchase it on EA's website.
