'Star Wars Battlefront' DLC release date: 'Death Star' released to Season Pass holders with new patch
"Star Wars Battlefront" Season Pass holders can now get a load of the "Death Star" expansion pack, which is now officially available. Electronic Arts (EA) DICE released a patch along with it too.
The patch primarily unlocks the new downloadable content (DLC) for Season Pass holders, but it also brings some changes to the game that those who did not buy the DLC will enjoy too.
The "Star Wars Battlefront" patch updates the traits for all the playable characters and adds new abilities to the respective levels. Much better, players can now equip with them two traits instead of one.
There will also be changes in the weapons. The cool down for the Scout Binoculars and the Bacta Bomb was reduced with 10 seconds. The latter's bug that prevents users from healing was also fixed.
However, the "Star Wars Battlefront" update also added a four-second healing immunity from the weapon. In addition, players hit by the Bacta Bomb will get five health regularly over three seconds for max 30 health.
For the changes on the Heroes, fans should know that after the "Star Wars Battlefront" update, regular soldiers controlled by Darth Vader via Force Choke will no longer be able to use melee attacks.
Leia's Trooper Bane cooldown increased from 14 to 15 seconds while her damage went from 50 to 53, her end damage bumped up from 25 to 35 and the damage fall off distance will now be 30 instead of 25 all for her E-11.
The "Star Wars Battlefront" will see Palpatine with a base lightning damage of 18 instead of the usual 15 and the block time will be bumped to 60 percent. Players can read the complete patch notes here.
With regards to the "Star Wars Battlefront: Death Star" DLC, Season Pass holders will now be able to play as Chewbacca and Bossk.
The "Death Star" DLC also officially adds the Battle Station game mode, and the new weapons namely TL-50 Heavy Repeater and the K-16 Bryar Pistol.
On top of that, players get a couple of new Star Cards and Hero vehicles in the form of the Red Five and the TIE Advanced X1.
The "Star Wars Battlefront: Death Star" DLC will be released to everyone else two weeks after its initial launch, which falls on the first week of October.
