The Sony Xperia X | Sony Mobile

The recently released Sony Xperia X is making the rounds online and many are claiming it to be one of the best mobile phones to have hit the market this year.

With no official release date, the Xperia X is available for pre-order on Sony's website and it costs £459 in rose gold, white and black.

Shipping is said to have started by the end of last month, but the orders will be available by late June.

The new Sony Xperia X is a powerful smartphone that is a single-SIM (Nano SIM) and an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen.

At 5.0 inches, the Xperia X has a lot going on underneath its casing. There is the latest Android OS with 6.0.1 Marshmallow, while the chipset is a Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650.

As for the phone's CPU, there is a dual-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72 and quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53, and Adreno 510 GPU.

The phone's memory is also one of the better ones at the moment as its internal memory is 32 or 64 GB depending on the model, with a 3 GB RAM for seamless multitasking.

There is the chance to extend memory with a microSD slot that can read up to 200 GB of memory card, which is great for those who want to have all their information on one device ready for use.

One of its strongest suits, just like any Sony Xperia phone, is its camera. The phone features a 23-megapixel primary camera, with phase dedication autofocus and LED flash.

The front camera is 13 megapixel and can record at 1080p.

As with any flagship phone, there is now the capacity to do fast charging with the Xperia X as it is said to charge up to 60% of battery within 30 minutes.

These are only a few of the big things that the Sony Xperia X offers as it goes head-to-head with the Samsung Galaxy S7, and tech fans should be open to checking out online reviews on the phone.
