'Sense8' season 2 air date, news & update: Leaked script reveals character death; first episode to air in December?

"Sense8" season 2 is slowly shaping up to be an even tougher run for its protagonists, but it might just treat them to some Christmas cheer first with a possible special episode airing on Christmas.

It has already been teased several times that "Sense8" may return sooner than expected with a Christmas-themed episode airing before the year ends. Will the holidays finally bring the sensates physically together? 

Although the sensates have been able to use their connection to its fullest potential, they have yet to really understand how they can do what they have been able to do this entire time. Will the rumored Christmas-themed episode be just a fun and cheery filler, or will it also provide an opportunity for the sensates to unravel the mysteries behind their mental and emotional links?

Earlier this year, Spoiler TV shared promotional and behind-the-scene images from the sci-fi show's upcoming season 2. One of the images showed what looked like a promising development in the brewing romance between Kala (Tina Desai) and Wolfgang (Max Riemelt). Are the two finally going to meet in person or will this be just another one of those projected experiences that filled most of the first season?

More recent speculations were fueled by an alleged leaked script from "Sense8" season 2 which may have revealed the death of Will's (Brian J. Smith) dad, Michael (Joe Pantoliano). It has also reportedly featured a new female character dubbed as The Assistant, who could be one of Mr. Whispers' (Terrence Mann) allies. The character will allegedly be played by Janet Ulrich Brooks.

No confirmations have been made regarding "Sense8" season 2's storyline. The Christmas episode will reportedly be released on Christmas, while the rest of the episodes will stream all at once on Netflix next year in January.
