'Scandal' season 6 spoilers: new character set to shake things up post-election
A new character is set to shake things up come "Scandal" season 6. Zoe Perry, the daughter of actor Jeff Perry, who stars in the series as vice presidential candidate Cyrus Perry, was cast for a mystery role.
Details about the character she will play are being kept under wraps, including her name. This suggests that giving away her name alone will uncover her connection. There is also no information as to which "Scandal" season 6 episode she will appear in and for how many. Either way, it looks like Perry's character will be one to watch out for.
"Scandal" season 6 will reveal the new leaders of the United States. Mellie (Bellamy Young) and Frankie Vargas (Ricardo Chavira) are vying for the presidency.
Jake Ballard (Scott Foley) and Cyrus are going head to head for the vice president position. Fans will immediately learn who wins as the election part itself will be skipped.
Just recently, the official poster for "Scandal" season 6 was unveiled and teases that "The balance of power is about to shift."
The elections will definitely take a toll on Olivia (Kerry Washington), who said in the trailer that while Mellie is tired of being a candidate, she herself is by no means done.
The "Scandal" season 6 trailer teases that things will be problematic for her as she looked extremely troubled. Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) is also giving off the same vibe.
Add to that the possible casualty to come out of the explosion shown in the preview. A cabin blew up just as Huck (Guillermo Diaz) and Quinn (Katie Lowes) approached it.
It looks like there was someone there as Olivia was seen in a hospital, eager to see the injured party. With all that said, it looks like "Scandal" season 6 will be dark and bloody.
"Scandal" season 6 premieres Thursday, Jan. 19, at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
