'Scandal' season 6 air date, spoilers updates: Trailer teases someone in danger
It appears that the election will be bloody in "Scandal" season 6 as someone's life will be put in danger in the premiere of the new season.
The teaser trailer for "Scandal" season 6 showed that a cabin exploding as Quinn (Katie Lowes) and Huck (Guillermo Diaz) approached it.
It is believed that someone was inside that small house who was hurt, or worse, died. Before the explosion was shown in the trailer, there was a scene featuring Olivia (Kerry Washington) in a hospital.
She was in a rush walking the hallway of the hospital, giving the impression that someone she knows was brought there and she urgently needs to see them.
Liv also looked flustered as did happened, which gives the impression that someone close to her will be in serious danger come "Scandal" season 6.
There is no way of knowing who it is although Huck and Quinn are out of the picture here, but it will be interesting to learn who it is.
Either way, this gives fans a reason to worry about their favorite characters like Mellie (Bellamy Young) or Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) or even Jake (Scott Foley) in "Scandal" season 6.
Of course, the season is also highly anticipated as it will reveal who won the election with Mellie and Jake tackling Cyrus (Jeff Perry) and Frankie Vargas (Ricardo Chavira).
The "Scandal" season 6 trailer teases that running for president has taken a toll on Mellie, but Liv is not one to give up. After all, she has worked so hard to help her win the race.
At some point in the clip, however, Mellie was excited to know her fate. Her supporters were also tuned in and were shown clapping, suggesting that she will take the lead although this does not tell everything about the result.
"Scandal" season 6 will premiere Thursday, Jan. 19 at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
