In its Galaxy S5, Samsung provides several nifty features that are quietly tucked away and often remain undiscovered. These features allow users to gain certain advantages reserved for phablets, customize their devices so that they can easily access their favorite apps, and even hide photos.

Although the Galaxy S5 does not have a dedicated stylus, you can write on the screen with a pencil or your fingernail if you want to because the screen is designed to be sensitive to this type of input. If you use gloves regularly or want to use a pencil on the screen, its sensitivity can be increased using Settings > Display > and selecting the 'Increase touch sensitivity" feature.

As for the AMOLED screen on the Galaxy S5, it can make whites appear to have a bluish tinge. You can change this easily by navigating to Settings and then changing the Display > Screen Mode to the "Professional Photo" option. With this option you can select the bluish tinge to reduce whiteness.

You also get to create different colored folders on the Galaxy S5. This you can do right after you put an app into a folder. You will be presented with color options for the folder and you can make a pick or let it have the default blue color.

If you want to hide any embarrassing selfies you took on your Galaxy S5 you can use the Private Mode under Settings to keep them invisible. To do this, after you have turned on the Private Mode in Settings and entered a password, press down on an image for a few seconds and then select "move to private." Then navigate to Settings > Private Mode and turn it off to make all such "private" photographs disappear. Only after you have turned private mode back on and entered the password will you be able to see these photographs.

In addition to these functions, you can do much more on the Galaxy S5 including checking caller information while receiving a call and even receive a call when you are using an app by using the call notification function.
