Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8 release date, specs news: Smartphones to feature dual screens and foldable display
Nothing bad ever happens on Christmas Eve, but could Toby (Chris Sullivan) be an exception?
NBC's hit family drama, "This Is Us" dealt its viewers with a midseason finale that left one of its beloved characters' fate in jeopardy. Will that heart-stopping scene of Toby collapsing of a heart attack at Randall's (Sterling K. Brown) house culminate into another Christmas miracle, or has Father Christmas ran out of good tidings to share?
The answer will come right away when "This Is Us" returns next year for episode 11. In a statement shared via E! News, Milo Ventimiglia, who plays the Pearson patriarch, Jack, said, "No, he can't be off the show, but you gotta wait. You just gotta wait." The other casts also said things on the same vein, which only makes fans of the show more eager for the next episode to roll around.
Mandy Moore, who plays Jack's wife, Rebecca, went on to reveal that an upcoming episode in the show's back half will feature the time when Jack and Rebecca found out they were having triplets. For a mother who initially wasn't planning on having kids, this could prove to be one chaotic point in her life.
"Our whole world is sort of flipped on its head," Moore said.
The series has recently received Golden Globes nominations for Best TV Series in the drama category and Best Supporting Actress nods for both Mandy Moore and her on-screen daughter, Chrissy Metz.
Fans were quick to point out the apparent absence of Ventimiglia from the rosters of nominees, but the actor was just as quick to congratulate his co-stars as well as the show's cast and crew via Twitter.
Following the nominations, series creator Dan Fogelman told ET Online, "This continues to be the wildest, craziest, and most rewarding ride for all of us."
"This Is Us" returns next year on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
