'Salem' season 3 episode 3 teaser: Mary Sibley faces the consequences of betraying the devil
In the third episode of the WGN TV series "Salem" season 3, viewers will see the terrible consequences of Mary Sibley's (Janet Montgomery) betrayal. The powerful witch was caught by the devil's bodyguard, The Sentinel (Samuel Roukin), and she will soon be sentenced as penalty for her actions.
According to SpoilerTV, Mary, who spawned the devil's earthly vessel, will not be killed simply because the devil is fond of her. But the witch will have to repent for her actions which will send her down a deadly path. Unlike the devil, his bodyguard, The Sentinel, doesn't fancy Mary. The Sentinel intends to see her dead.
To recap, in the previous episode of the TV show, Mary sought to see her son (Oliver Bell), who is the devil incarnate. She intended to kill him once and for all but failed.
In the upcoming episode, viewers will also see the great Rev. Cotton Mather (Seth Gabel) perform an exorcism. The trailer for the episode titled "The Reckoning" showed the priest struggling to swallow his wife Anne Hale's familiar, Brown Jenkins. His wife stuffed the rat down his throat, which prevented him from speaking and going against her will. Hence, Cotton will attempt to break from away from her commands. According to reports, he will pluck a strand of hair from his wife to brew a potion to destroy the rat.
In the episodes to come, war will ensue outside of Salem, but it will leave the town in dire circumstances. As seen in the trailer, Salem will be in terrible shape. Meanwhile, the Indians who were shot by Capt. John Alden (Shane West) will come back to life and haunt him.
"Salem" season 3 episode 3 premieres on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 9 p.m. EST on WGN America.
