The final trailer for the upcoming "Star Wars" spinoff "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" could be released online this week.

According to the Making Star Wars blog, the next and possibly final trailer for "Rogue One" could come earlier than expected. It is expected to come out in the latter part of the week.

The blog suggests that the next preview is tied to Marvel Studios' upcoming "Doctor Strange," which hits theaters on Nov. 4. Both the Marvel Cinematic Universe films and the Star Wars franchise are distributed by Disney.

While this report is unconfirmed, Slash Film notes that Making Star Wars has a history of accurate predictions regarding the "Star Wars" films.

Meanwhile, "Firefly" actor Alan Tudyk, who plays the reprogrammed Imperial security droid K2SO in "Rogue One," recently revealed that he had almost turned down the chance to appear in the highly anticipated film.

Tudyk played K2SO in a motion capture performance for the "Star Wars" spinoff. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly and SiriusXM at the New York Comic Con, Tudyk recalled that he had been asked to bring the character to life by "Rogue One" director Gareth Edwards.

Unfortunately, the actor was unable to immediately agree to the project as he was then making "Con Man," a web series crowd-funded by fans and supporters.

"We sat down and talked and after the talk, he said, 'Do you want to do it,'" the actor recounted. "I actually said, as long as it doesn't go in June. Now that I think of it I'm really surprised. I was like, 'Look, I've got some stipulations here," he added.

"I was like, 'I have a responsibility here to the people who crowd-funded it to make it on time,'" Tudyk said. "I think they would have been okay with it. But luckily they said we start in July," he continued.

While not much is known about Tudyk's K2SO, the actor did reveal that Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) was the one who reprogrammed the security droid in the film.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" hits theaters on Dec. 16.
