Donald Trump once joined the bandwagon of hating on Kristen Stewart when news broke that she cheated on then-boyfriend Robert Pattinson. Five years later, Pattinson finally gave a response to Trump's tweets.

"Twilight" stars Pattinson and Stewart, who portrayed Edward and Bella in the entire film franchise, had developed a romantic relationship back in 2009, the year when "New Moon" hit theaters.

However, their relationship ended in 2012 when it was revealed that Stewart cheated on Pattinson with the director of "Snow White and the Huntsman," where Stewart took on the role of Snow White.

Stewart tried to fix things with Pattinson, Celebrity Insider confirmed. Unfortunately, the two didn't get back together.

At that time, a lot of the fans of Pattinson and the "Twilight" films hated on Stewart for what she did, and one of them was Trump.

Trump expressed his opinions freely on Twitter back in 2012 about Stewart, saying: "Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart. She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again--just watch. He can do much better!"

He also openly invited Pattinson to attend the 2012 Miss Universe Pageant, giving another blow to Stewart.

Five years later, Pattinson has given a response to the POTUS' tweets about his ex-girlfriend.

During an interview with the German website WeltN24, Pattinson said, "I hope he has more interesting things to think about now," Moviepilot confirmed.

Meanwhile, Stewart has also addressed Trump's tweets in a previous episode of "Saturday Night Live" when she hosted the show, Inquisitr reported.

Stewart started off by saying that Trump went "insane" when she and Pattinson broke up, followed by reading the multiple tweets that Trump sent out about their break up. She emphasized that the current president of the U.S. tweeted about her not only once but 11 times.

However, Stewart ended her monolog on a good note — by joking that Trump didn't really hate her back then and that he was just obsessed with her ex-boyfriend.
