'Reign' season 4 spoilers: Mary's revenge, Lord Darnley's entrance teased for first three episodes
New details about the first three episodes of "Reign" season 4 have found their way online, giving a glimpse of what the final season has in store for Queen Mary (Adelaide Kane).
The premiere is titled "With Friends Like These," which will be all about Mary finding justice for Lola's (Anna Popplewell) death and the right people to trust. This is particularly about figuring out whether or not James (Dan Jeannotte) could be one of those people.
As per the synopsis for the "Reign" season 4 premiere, Mary attempts to "ensure his loyalty after hearing of his meeting with John Knox (Jonathan Goad)."
The summary of the installment also teases that Will Kemp's Lord Darnley will appear early on in the season. He is one of the new characters set to appear and will play a huge part in the story.
Lord Darnley will be one of two men who will vie for Mary's heart. As teased before, he will be successful in doing so, but his early attempts to win the queen of Scotland's heart will be marred with problems, as indicated in the "Reign" season 4 premiere synopsis.
"Queen Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) agrees to help Lord Darnley, in an attempt to sabotage the powerful suitor's relationship with Mary," the description reads.
The second episode will be "Reign" season 4 is titled "A Grain of Deception." As suggested in the title, the question of trust is once again raised.
Here, Mary learns that one of her advisors is actually a traitor. Queen Elizabeth continues with her own attempt for supremacy by seeking the help of Narcisse (Craig Parker).
Elizabeth is not the only one seeking dominance in "Reign" season 4, episode 2 as Catherine (Megan Follows) is also set to "take desperate measures to regain some of the power she has lost."
The third episode of "Reign" season 4 will be "Leaps of Faith." There is no information attached to the installment though, but it looks like there will be some risks involved here.
"Reign" season 4 will premiere Friday, Feb. 10, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
