'Reign' season 4 spoilers: Mary vs. Elizabeth and James? Queen of Scots loses her allies
Spain will definitely be a huge part in the "Reign" season 4, as per the latest information about the final run of the beloved historical drama. Because of this, things will be extra chaotic.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the "Reign" season 4 premiere will be set just weeks after the events in the season 3 finale. Around this time, there remains no order.
The new season will start off with Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) hell-bent on getting revenge against Mary (Adelaide Kane), who, in turn, is doing whatever is necessary to establish and reinforce her power.
As per the "Reign" season 4 spoilers, this will include doing some fencing, so it looks like Mary will also take part in some physical battles this season.
Because of the bigger role of Spain, things will be far more complicated than they already are. The premiere will examine how it will only get worse from there with Mary starting to cast doubt on her brother, James (Dan Jeannotte).
The synopsis for "Reign" season 4 provided by TV Guide teases that as Mary continues with her efforts to fortify her power and keep the throne, "more and more of her friends disappear."
This begs the question of whether or not she will be able to ultimately secure the crown with her allies slowly being eliminated and the enemies gaining the upper hand.
It is also teased by the abovementioned publication that Mary has indeed made "a true enemy out of Elizabeth after the assassination attempt, and Lola (Anna Popplewell) has paid the ultimate price for it."
The "Reign" season 4 premiere will also mark the arrival of Lord Darnley (Will Kemp), who will end up being Mary's second husband and one she will start a family with.
"Reign" season 4 will premiere with "With Friends Like These" on Friday, Feb. 10, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
